The project covered six main localities: Nyala North, Nyala South, Nyala East, Tulus, Ad Al Fursan, and Balil. The project was implemented in partnership with local civil society organizations and youth initiatives, supported through small grants and mechanisms for coordination, consultation, and proposal review, ensuring the effectiveness of the humanitarian response.

Improved the health status of women and children in the targeted areas.

Provided psychosocial support to 150 affected women in Nyala City.

Providing safe housing and better living conditions for 2,000 displaced children.

Building trust with local communities and fostering a spirit of collaboration.

Empowering emerging local initiatives through a participatory learning approach.

Alleviating the suffering of displaced people and improving their conditions in neighborhoods and shelters.

Effective partnership and sustainable impact

The project relied on a participatory approach that brought together the organization, its local partners, and community leaders, helping ensure aid reached those who deserved it and strengthening the capacity of community initiatives to deliver humanitarian work.

Through this project, the Burley Development Foundation renewed its commitment to the principles of humanitarian action and its ongoing efforts to provide effective support to affected communities and build strong local partnerships that contribute to achieving urgent response and sustainable impact.

It is worth noting that this project was funded by the Saverowd Foundation.
